Cancer genomics (acquired oncology)

Acquired genomic testing is offered in accordance with the National Genomic Test Directory for Cancer.

Within the Directory, individual tests are categorised according to tumour type and test codes are used to identify specific tumour appropriate tests (these tests each have an 'M' test code number).

Tests available in Oxford are detailed on this website and the listing reflects the 'M' test code from the Test Directory where helpful/appropriate.

Not all tests listed in the directory are offered within Oxford, however pathways do exist to enable testing either within Central and South GLH or nationally - please contact us for advice.

Cytogenetic tests are delivered by the Regional Genetics Laboratory and molecular tests are undertaken by the Molecular Haematology Laboratory.

Quick, concise information to help healthcare professionals make the right genomic decisions at each stage of a clinical pathway is available - see GeNotes (provided by Genomics Education Programme).
