Please keep our patients safe

If you have, or have had, an illness, such as diarrhoea, vomiting or a cold, please wait until you are completely better before visiting.

Please use the alcohol hand gel (on the wall by the entrances to the wards) when you arrive, and wash your hands with soap and water when you leave.

Relatives and friends of patients may now visit their loved ones from 10.00am until 10.00pm.

There may be times when visitors are asked to move away from the bedside for short periods of time for clinical reasons.

Critical Care and High Dependency areas have their own visiting times.

Children's Hospital

As you enter the Women's Centre on Level 2, please follow signs for the Newborn Care Unit.

  • Visiting: parents and siblings of babies on the unit are welcome at any time.
  • Parents may bring other visitors at times to suit them and their baby. Please avoid ward rounds and nursing handovers.
  • Visitors must be over the age of 16 and accompanied by the baby's parent/carer.
  • If you or one of your visitors has a cold or other possible infection, please discuss this with staff before coming to the unit.
