Collaborating with partners can help translate scientific or technological discoveries into real benefits for patients.
Oxford University Hospitals is therefore open to collaborating with industry, patient groups, charities and other academic institutions on research projects that will improve patient care.
The partnership between the Oxford University Hospitals, the University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes University and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust allows us to offer the complementary input of clinicians, academics and patients, as well world-leading facilities, expertise and resources.
The National Institute for Health and Care Research invested £114m into translational health research at Oxford in 2017 by designating it as an NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, increasing its strength in this area.
We can work with industry on:
- contract research projects
- collaborative research projects
- focus groups of clinical staff
- access to facilities.
We have an experienced and flexible IP and contracts team who will negotiate the IP terms for any agreements.
Funding
We can work with partners to identify suitable funding opportunities and make joint applications where appropriate. We can also work with partners on a fee-for-service basis.
Confidentiality
We recognise that confidentiality is paramount in certain circumstances, and have documentation to ensure that you are protected in terms of confidentiality and commercially sensitive information.
