August 2026 update
The restaurant is closed for refurbishment from Monday 3 August to Monday 24 August 2026 inclusive.
Hot food and drinks are available from vending machines, and a Postgraduate Centre Café is open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 3.00pm.
Please follow the signs.

Vending machines
In the main hospital there are vending machines:
Maternity Building entrance - snacks, hot and cold drinks
Accident and Emergency entrance - snacks, hot and cold drinks
E Ward (outside) - hot and cold drinks and snacks
X-ray - hot drinks
Pathology Laboratories - hot drinks.
There is a vending machine by F Ward, between Reception and the Restaurant, where you can buy food to heat up in its steamer or microwave, and drinks. Card only.
League of Friends shop
Monday to Friday 10.00am - 4.00pm
This may change due to staffing / volunteers' circumstances.
The shop does not sell refreshments.
Cash machines
There is a free cash machine in the main corridor near reception. Others are located at the nearby branch of Sainsbury's on Oxford Road, signposted 'Superstore'.
Telephones / WiFi
We offer free WiFi on all our hospital sites: 'OUH-Guest'.
Pay phones are provided in most ward areas. There are further public telephones located around the hospital:

Maternity main entrance.

Radio Horton
Patients at the Horton General Hospital can listen to Radio Horton, which is run by volunteers.
Radio Horton is also available to listen to online, so anyone anywhere can tune in.
