The Bone Infection Unit is the country's only specialist unit dedicated to the investigation and treatment of patients with all aspects of bone or joint infection.
Patients treated in our 26-bedded ward include those with chronic foot ulceration, infection joint replacements, spine infections and post-traumatic long bone infections. Treatment typically involves surgery, intensive antibiotic therapy and rehabilitation planning, and discharge home or to other settings for further rehabilitation.
If you are a patient please consult your GP who will refer you if appropriate.
A strict appointment system operates and referrals are prioritised on clinical need based on the information supplied by the referring medical practitioner.
