Gynaecology - Horton General Hospital

The Horton General Hospital has a Women's Day Surgery and Diagnostic Unit with nine beds.

Within this unit there is a daily Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic (EPAC) for pregnant women with pregnancy-related concerns.

You can self-refer to this service or a clinician can refer you.

Nurse-led telephone triage

Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm

When you call, we will take your details and a specialist nurse will call you back.

Scans

Scans for this clinic are performed in the Horton Midwifery-led Unit.

Treatments

The on-site service offers medical or surgical treatments such as:

  • day-case gynaecology surgery with pre-operative assessment
  • colposcopy
  • outpatient treatments.

Women presenting with gynaecological cancers will be referred and treated in Oxford by the Gynaecological Oncology Multidisciplinary Team.
