Breast Surgery

Referring via e-Referral

Use e-Referral for:

  • Routine patients: these should always be referred via the e-Referral system.
  • Urgent patients: all patients should be referred via e-Referral, including 2 Week Wait.

2 Week Wait patients

If the GP is suspicious that a patient has breast cancer the patient should be referred to the 2 Week Wait Bureau via e-Referral.

When referring 2 Week Wait patients via e-Referral, please select 2 Week Wait for the specialty, not Surgery - Breast (breast surgery is currently the only specialty that 2 Week Wait referrals go through e-Referral).

For this service you need to select both the Horton in Banbury and Churchill in Oxford, so that appointments can be offered easily within the two week period.
