The Critical Care Unit (CCU) at the Horton General Hospital manages critical care cases (surgical and medical, including coronary care).
Relatives and friends are also an important focus of care. Level 2 and Level 3 care is provided for post-operative patients, cardiac patients, medical emergencies and patients with multi-organ failure.
The unit is part of the Thames Valley Critical Care Network.
The Horton Critical Care Unit is near the main hospital reception and Emergency Department at the Horton General Hospital.
