Financial wellbeing

Our financial wellbeing depends not just on how much we're paid, but also on feeling in control and secure and knowing that we can pay our bills, deal with the unexpected and build a healthy financial future.

This page signposts you to where you can access financial advice and guidance, a safe place to talk about money worries, and staff benefits that can help incomes go further.

Financial support and education

Salary Finance

We are pleased to be able to let you know that all OUH staff now have access to Salary Finance - a company who provide a range of financial services including:

  • affordable loans repaid through salary - which could be used to pay off expensive debts and avoid payday loans or credit cards: representative rate 13.9% APR (fixed)
  • advance earned pay - the ability to access some of your earned pay ahead of your regular payday
  • simple savings - where you can save straight from your salary
  • help to save - with this government-backed scheme, anyone receiving Working Tax Credit, Universal Credit or Child Tax Credit could earn bonus payments on their savings: earn up to 50p for every £1 saved
  • free financial education - an online financial education hub available 24/7 giving you access to a range of handy tools and resources to help you better understand your money.

Find out more about Salary Finance on their website. You can also hear from others how Salary Finance has helped them take control of their money by watching this video on YouTube.

It is important however to note that the Advance product is not a regulated lending product. This is an option, not a recommendation. OUH does not benefit from offering this service and all your communications will be with Salary Finance. Loan applications will be assessed to ensure the loan is appropriate and affordable for you. Learn content is for guidance and educational purposes only and is generic in nature. Salary Finance does not offer regulated financial advice. Please seek independent financial advice.
