Your appointment

Once we have received your referral we will call you to arrange an appointment. We try to offer appointment times to suit you - please contact us if you have any queries.

If possible, please arrive a little early, as we may ask you to complete a questionnaire.

If driving, allow at least one hour to park and use Car Park 2 if spaces are available.

We will make every effort to see you on time, but there are sometimes delays. If you have waited more than ten minutes please check with Reception, and please do ask staff if you have any concerns.

What to expect

Your first visit will usually last 45 minutes on a one-to-one basis with your Physiotherapist.

They will ask you for:

  • details of the accident
  • your current symptoms
  • what makes it better
  • what makes it worse
  • details of any previous injuries
  • details of any general health problems.

There will also be a physical examination to find out exactly what the problem is.

Please wear, or bring, shorts and a T-shirt. You may need to undress down to your underwear, so if you do not have shorts, please wear appropriate underwear.

Cancellations

If you are unable to attend, please call us at least 24 hours before your appointment so that we can offer the appointment time to someone else.
