e-Referral Service (ERS)

When you and your GP agree that you need an appointment, you can choose which hospital or clinic you go to.

These may be local, but you can also choose from a 'national menu' of hospitals and clinics from across England.

You will also be able to choose the date and time of your appointment.

For more information, visit the NHS website.

Making an appointment

You can use e-Referral to make routine and urgent outpatient appointments for most services at the Trust's four hospitals.

Please speak to your GP if you decide to come to one of our hospitals for treatment. They will let you know if your choice is an option and, once your referral details have been entered on the system, you will be given an Appointment Request Letter containing your reference number and password.

Make sure you have these in front of you when booking an appointment.

Using the information on your Appointment Request Letter, you will then be able to book your appointment online or call The Appointment Line (TAL) number at the bottom of that letter to arrange a suitable date and time for your initial appointment.

You will need to quote your booking reference number and password.
