NOTSSCaN Operating Theatres

Are you a passionate and dedicated nurse (RN) or operating department practitioner (ODP)?

Do you have good interpersonal and communication skills with an enthusiasm to learn in order to provide individualised care for patients in these clinical specialties?

Do you relish working collaboratively within a productive multidisciplinary team to promote the delivery of evidence based, safe patient care?

Whether you have experience in theatres or not, we would like to hear from you.

What we offer

We have an experienced education team in place to support your development and career progression, whether you are newly qualified, have experience from other areas or are returning to practice. Our learning environment includes preceptorship, supernumerary status while achieving competencies, an in-house perioperative course, support for revalidation and leadership development.

Further Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is available including the PG Cert/Dip Advanced Perioperative Care. This course is accredited by the University of Northampton and delivered in the Trust.

We offer you the opportunity to be based mainly in one department. Full- and part-time posts are available in most areas; these posts include a commitment to day/night rotation, Bank Holidays and weekend working, with participation in an on-call rota where applicable.
