Kathy Hall has been appointed as Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's new Director of Strategy.

She will be joining the Trust on Monday 3 September 2018 from the Department of Health and Social Care where she has been Director of Strategy, System and Performance since August 2016.

Her previous experience includes a wide range of senior civil service roles in the Treasury, Cabinet Office and Department of Health.

Kathy, who lives in the village of Wroxton near Banbury, says: "It's a huge privilege to be joining the team at OUH. The Horton General in Banbury is my local hospital and I am really looking forward to using the skills and experience which I have gained in Whitehall to shape the future of healthcare in Oxfordshire and beyond.

"Among my early areas of focus will be working with clinicians and key stakeholders to adapt the Trust's clinical strategy to meet the future needs of the communities which we serve.

"My new role is a really exciting opportunity to work with colleagues to shape the strategic direction of the Trust, and turn that strategy into reality."

Dr Bruno Holthof, Chief Executive of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, adds: "We are looking forward to welcoming Kathy to the Trust in early September. She has a wealth of transferable skills and expertise which will strengthen our senior management team."
