We are achieving the NHS legal target of net zero 2040, and doing this by working collaboratively with teams across the Trust to find solutions which will reduce our carbon footprint and also:
- minimise waste
- save money, in the short and long term
- improve the wellbeing of patients and staff
- enhance the physical environment for patients, staff, wildlife and nature
- build in resilience and adaptive measures to manage the effects of extreme weather and other climate impacts.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, and who will take actions, big or small, over the coming years to help us achieve this ambitious but vital set of goals.
