Face masks in our hospitals
Staff
Wear a mask if you work in any of the following areas and care for untriaged patients.
- Emergency Departments (adults' and children's)
- Ambulatory Assessment Unit - John Radcliffe Hospital
- Rowan Ambulatory Unit - Horton General Hospital
- Emergency Assessment Units (EAU)
- Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU) Triage
- West Wing GP Referral Unit
- Children's Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)
- Bellhouse Drayson Ward
- Maternity Assessment Units (MAU)
Wear a mask when working in patient-facing roles in wards, day case units and clinics for:
- Oncology
- Haematology
- Renal and Transplant
Wear a mask if caring for a patient with respiratory symptoms, or if a patient asks you to.
If there is an outbreak of a respiratory or other infection in your clinical area, or if the number of cases in your area increases, the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team may advise universal mask wearing.
