Elise Longworth, a nurse on Robin's Ward at Oxford Children's Hospital, was presented with a DAISY Award on 13 December 2018 by OUH Chief Nurse Sam Foster.

The surprise ceremony was attended by Elise's colleagues and nominator Annette Martin, who said that "With eight-week old twins admitted with fractured skulls, I was fraught and unable to properly care for them both on the ward.

"Elise offered to look after my twins for me when she had quieter moments. This was hugely generous of her as I know staff are really busy.

"I named Elise 'Saint Elise' as she truly was my angel."
