Andrew Agravia

DAISY Award winner Andrew Agravia, a Ward 5 Nurse at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, was praised as a "wonderful, kind, and funny" colleague who is always there for patients and his teammates.

The nomination, made by a fellow ward colleague, read: "Andrew goes above and beyond for all his patients and is equally supportive with his colleagues. He shows great compassion and excellence in everything he does - and with such dignity and respect.

"Andrew has the most amazing sense of humour and he knows how to brighten everyone's day no matter how they are feeling. He is amazing with confused patients and the always enjoy his singing and cheerful personality.

"He is a pleasure to work with and I always look forward to our shifts together.

"It's an honour to be Andrew's colleague and friend, and to have seen him grow from a new nurse to the very best nurse. We as a team think a lot of Andrew and would love for him to know how truly appreciated he really is."
