OUH staff go above and beyond

Staff at the John Radcliffe Maternity Service, among many members of staff across the Trust, were determined not to let last week's snow get in the way of a day's work.

Making sure it was business as usual, maternity staff slept at the hospital on Thursday and Friday night to make sure they could work their usual shifts.

Gail Walton, Midwife Co-Ordinator at the John Radcliffe, said: "Our staff went above and beyond in their efforts to keep things running as smoothly as possible in the face of difficult weather conditions.

"We always value our staff's hard work, but it's at times like this we really see people's levels of dedication, care, and commitment at their fullest. They don't go home until the job is done, and we're so grateful for their efforts."
