CARe and Home Hospice Care Team get well-earned recognition

24/10/2022
This article is more than one year old.

Our Crisis Assessment and Response (CARe) and Home Hospice Care teams have been up and running since 1 April 2022. These community-based teams cover the whole of Oxfordshire, providing support to people in their homes, so that they don't have to go into hospital for a stay if they don't need to.

For people who have had a bit of a crisis, a short period of care at home from our CARe team can be enough to get them back to their usual activity levels.

Our Home Hospice Care Team is part of the Oxfordshire Rapid Intervention for Palliative and End of Life Care (RIPEL) project, providing care to people who are close to the end of their lives, so that they can choose to stay at home if they wish.

Earlier this month Deputy Operational Service Manager, Chloe, and her PA Kimberley, got in touch with our friends at Oxford Hospitals Charity to ask how they could celebrate the good work of these teams, and let them know just how appreciated they are.

Oxford Hospitals Charity leapt into action and sent cake - 136 cupcakes to be precise - so the teams could consider themselves well and truly thanked!

Seriously though, thank you for all you do.
