Catering Supervisors
Catering Supervisors lead the day-to-day provision of food service on the wards and in the restaurants.
They order, store and distribute supplies on time, to the right place, and keep waste to a minimum.
They ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety are rigorously maintained everywhere food is stored, prepared and served.
Catering Supervisors also take care of supplies and equipment such as crockery, cutlery, cleaning materials and the machinery used in food service.
They are responsible for making sure our patients and staff are well-fed, and that all our catering staff are properly trained and compliant with all necessary regulations.
Shift Porters
Our Shift Porters are the backbone of our hospital services, safely transporting patients in beds or wheelchairs between our wards and departments to receive scans, tests and treatment.
To be a Shift Porter you need to be physically fit and display high standards of customer service and empathy.
Our team of Shift Porters provides an invaluable service, moving vital supplies and equipment around our hospital sites, often at short notice.
We rely on our 24-hour Shift Porters for the 24-hour, seven-days-a-week patient care we provide, and we are so proud of them.
They are a truly diverse team, who contribute so much to the efficient running of our hospitals.
