We have an exceptional team of motivated and talented nurses within Oxford Critical Care, who are passionate about excellence in critical care nursing, while providing an environment that is accessible and supportive to learn in.

We offer a Foundation Course for novice ICU staff which runs over one academic year, as well as tailored support through the completion of CC3N competencies.

For more experienced staff, there are opportunities to undertake a PG Certificate in Critical Care at Masters level.

Our tailored Band 6 development pathway will allow you to develop your leadership skills and support the senior nursing team, and there are opportunities for experienced ICU nurses to join our Critical Care Education Team.

As a valued member of our team, we will provide you with:

  • regular performance appraisals
  • a personalised development plan
  • simulated multidisciplinary practice
  • dedicated team development training days
  • optional secondment and rotation to other critical care areas.

Whether you are new to critical care, or have experience elsewhere, there are sure to be career development pathways that will keep your career fresh and interesting.
