Quality

The majority of the tests offered by the laboratory are accredited (UKAS Schedule of Accreditation).

The laboratory provides a biochemical service to measure Pyruvate Dehydrogenase (PDH) enzyme activity in cultured fibroblasts. Due to the specialist nature of this test, it is provided outside of the UKAS schedule of accreditation.

The Regional Genetics Laboratories participate in the Genomics Quality Assessment Schemes (www.GenQA.org) or other UK NEQAS schemes for each aspect of our service, as appropriate.

The Oxford Regional Genetics Laboratories have recently undertaken a survey of its users of the Haematology Services.
