The overall management of this condition is multidisciplinary. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT) meets monthly and includes:
- Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Oculoplastic and Ophthalmic Surgery
- Facial Rehabilitation Specialist
- Clinical Psychology
- Specialist NF2 Nurses.

We have monthly MDT clinics for patients with facial palsy. Separate facial rehabilitation, botox, plastic surgery and oculoplastic clinics are run weekly.
Facial exercise videos
Adults' facial exercise video
These exercise videos are for adults who have facial weakness. You should only do the exercises in this video after you have been assessed by a Facial Rehabilitation Specialist. Your specialist will advise you about which of these exercises you should be doing.
Do not do any of the exercises or techniques unless they have been demonstrated or recommended, as they may do more harm than good.
Children's facial exercise video
This exercise video is for children who have facial weakness. You should only do the exercises in this video after you have been assessed by a Facial Rehabilitation Specialist. Your specialist will advise you about which of these exercises your child should be doing.
