The focus of Professor Turner's research is in establishing biomarkers for MND, particularly using advanced neuroimaging.
He is now studying the very earliest pre-symptomatic changes to the nervous system in carriers of genetic forms of MND, with the longer-term aim of eventual primary prevention as well as disease-modifying therapy for those living with MND.
