Dr Malcolm Proudfoot MRCP

Malcolm Proudfoot

Dr Proudfoot is a Specialist Trainee in Neurology and the BioMOx Clinical Research Fellow working with Dr Turner. He is studying for a DPhil and was recently awarded a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Training Fellowship.

He is using a sensitive brain wave measuring technique called Magnetoencephalography (MEG) to study the way the motor systems of the brain activate in MND patients compared to healthy individuals. It is hoped that this will provide new markers of the disease, as well as new insights into future ways to treat MND.
