The STIFLE Study

Do you have Asthma?

A 24 week randomised exploratory open-label study aiming to characterise changes in airway inflammation, symptoms, lung function, and reliever use in asthma patients using SABA (Salbutamol) or anti-inflammatory reliever (Symbicort) as rescue medication in addition to Symbicort as daily asthma controller.

Investigating Asthma inflammation in patients taking daily Asthma medication.

Measurements will be performed daily by patients at home using devices which will connect to a Smartphone.

You could take part in the STIFLE Study if you:

  • are age 18 or over
  • have been diagnosed with Asthma for at least 6 months
  • can complete daily measurements at home for the next 6 months
  • have needed to use oral steroids for worsening asthma symptoms
