Exploring the relationship between symptoms and lung function in asthma

Trial categories: Brain; Breathing; Other;

Sponsoring organisation: University of Oxford

We would like to invite you to take part in a research study investigating why some people with asthma have more (or fewer) symptoms relative to lung function than others. We are recruiting both people with asthma and people without asthma.

In this study we would ask you to complete some questionnaires and do a computer task involving pictures or words. We will take some measures of your breathing and collect a blood sample to test for asthma-related inflammation.

The study takes part at the University of Oxford facilities at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the session will be 2 hours in duration.

If you think you might be interested or if you would like to ask any questions or hear about the other studies we are running then please contact the research team directly.

You can contact Lucy Marlow, who is running this at the following email address: or on 01865 234 544.
