New database of research trials seeking volunteers

This article is more than six years old.

People who want to take part in research trials can now see details of studies looking for volunteers on the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s website.

More than 30 studies across a range of health issues from bones and joints to cancer and pregnancy and childbirth are already online.

The Trust works with organisations such as the University of Oxford to run research trials to discover new tests and treatments.

Current trials include a study of the health of women planning their first pregnancy and a request for healthy volunteers to investigate how different vaccines prevent infection against Salmonella Typhi.
