Children with arthritis or pain in their upper limbs may find writing or fine motor tasks such as doing zips/buttons difficult. We can assess specific fine motor skills, pencil grip and handwriting speed and provide specific advice around this. Please contact us on 01865 737266 should you need this support at any point.
Posture is of the utmost importance! During writing, fine motor and computer tasks always ensure that you have your feet flat on the floor with your ankles, knees and hips at approximately 90° angles. The table need to be just above elbow height when sitting with your arms by your sides. Sit upright with your bottom supported into the back of your chair.
