Joy joins OUH Trust Board

Joy Warmington MBE has been appointed as a Non-executive Director of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for an initial term of three years – she took up her new role today (Tuesday 1 June 2021). 

The Trust's Council of Governors, which includes elected representatives of the public and staff, made the appointment at its meeting on Wednesday 13 January 2021. 

Joy is the Chief Executive Officer of brap, an equalities and human rights charity based in Birmingham, which has developed a national reputation for its progressive and innovative approach.

She has been a Non-executive Director of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust since 2013 – she became Vice Chair in 2016 and also chaired the Trust’s Integrated Quality Committee.

Joy was awarded the MBE in the New Year Honours List 2019 for services to healthcare and the community in the West Midlands.
