Could you be a Non-executive Director?

13/10/2020
This article is more than three years old.

We are seeking to appoint two new Non-executive Directors from diverse backgrounds to reflect the diversity of the populations which we serve in Oxfordshire.

We are looking for people with experience in one or more of the following areas - system working, the care and charitable sectors, transport and sustainability, or as a clinician with non-medical background.

The successful candidates will offer outstanding ambassadorial qualities and will share our passion for excellence in care standards and innovation.

Importantly, we would welcome applications from all sections of the community regardless of race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or age.

We are looking for Non-executive Directors from diverse backgrounds to reflect our population in Oxfordshire - there is a video on the Trust YouTube channel and for more information and applications, please see this dedicated web page.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 21 October 2020.

Professor Sir Jonathan Montgomery, Chair of OUH, says: "I am really keen with these appointments that we can connect ourselves with a broader range of the people whom we serve, so it would be great if we can find people from less traditional backgrounds.

"We are looking for people who really care about improving the quality of the NHS and, if that's you, I'd love you to apply for these posts.

"What we need is a range of people from the communities whom we serve to enrich the discussion around the Board and to add to the day to day experience and knowledge which our Executive Directors have."

Terry Roberts, the Trust's Chief People Officer (pictured), adds: "We have a great team of staff and we have great diversity here. We would like to have a Non-executive Director from a diverse background and that is why we are reaching out to you."
