Junior Doctor Awards 2020 - Patients’ Choice Award

This article is more than four years old.

On Monday 9 March OUH launched its first Junior Doctor Awards which it is hoped will become an annual event in the Trust Calendar where we celebrate our staff and the amazing work they do.

Included in the five award categories (four to be voted upon by staff) is the Patient Choice Award.  This award is a chance for patients, relatives and the public to nominate Junior Doctors who have gone the extra mile.  It’s a way of saying ‘thank you’ to a Junior Doctor, showing how much their work is valued both by the Trust and patients.

Professor Meghana Pandit, Chief Medical Officer said, ‘Our Junior Doctors work extremely hard and contribute greatly to the safe and high-quality care that we provide for our patients.  So that their commitment and excellence is not overlooked - these awards help show our appreciation of the hard work and dedication they deliver on a daily basis.’

Nominations for this award will close on Friday 10 April – so there is plenty of time to get your nomination to us using the Patient Choice Award nomination form on Survey Monkey and we look forward to hearing from you.

Oxford Hospitals Charity has generously supported our new Junior Doctors Awards -  their support makes this important celebration possible and our sincere thanks are extended to them.
