Update on COVID-19 - the importance of hand washing

News Image

The Government has issued new messages this week about the importance of hand washing in the containment of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The messages have useful instructions on hand washing, including using soap and water or a hand sanitiser when you:

  • get home or into work
  • blow your nose, sneeze or cough
  • eat or handle food.

This will help protect yourself and others from the spread of viruses, like COVID-19, flu and the common cold.
