New walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations available at the Kassam Stadium

This article is from 7 January 2022 - the situation may change with time

Members of the public can take advantage of walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust's Oxford Vaccination Centre at the Kassam Stadium from Monday 10 January.

This means anyone eligible – including 12-15 year olds – can get vaccinated at the Kassam Stadium (at Littlemore, Oxford, OX4 6DE) without the need for an appointment. The stadium is closed all day on Oxford United home weekend match days.

It is anticipated that this offer will be available between 9am and 7pm most days, but you are advised to check before setting out on your journey.

Please visit the NHS website which is regularly updated with venues and opening times.

Walk-in opportunities are available for:

Please note that masks must be worn while attending NHS sites.

If you have had a positive COVID-19 test you need to*:

  • Wait 4 weeks (28 days) if you're aged 18 years old or over
  • Wait 12 weeks (84 days) if you're aged 12 to 17 years old
  • Wait 4 weeks (28 days) if you're aged 12 to 17 years and at increased risk from COVID-19 (immunosuppressed)

*(subject to further updates – check the NHS website for latest guidance)

Booking an appointment is still the best way to guarantee that you get your vaccination at a time that suits you, and you can do this by visiting the National Booking Service online.

Oxford Health has reconfigured the Kassam facility by opening a second floor of vaccination booths and removing the 15-minute post-jab waiting period to increase capacity.

More information on Oxford Health's vaccination sites is available on their website.
