Specimen / container requirements

Collect at least 10ml from the second void of the day into a clearly labelled sterile universal container.

Indicate if the patient has:

  • been catheterised
  • had recent urinary instrumentation
  • had chemotherapy
  • had local radiotherapy.

Failure to do so may result in a false positive diagnosis.
