Re-instating red tactile paving stones and re-surfacing work

News Image

Thank you for all your patience and understanding over the last five months while Vital Energi has been working on the Energy Link. It is much appreciated by all the staff working on this complex project.

Vital Energi has one last road closure that will affect drivers and residents in Highfield. The red tactile paving has to be re-instated. This work will be carried out by a specialist company and it takes approximately half a day to complete each location. These re-instatements could not start until London Road was finished because each junction will be closed for half a day for this work.

In addition, Vital Energi was not happy with the surfacing on a stretch of All Saints Road near the junction of Barrington Close. As a result, All Saints Road has to be closed from the junction with Lime Walk towards Barrington Close 2 - 5 May for the tactile pavement reinstatement and re-surfacing work.

  • The tactile paving re-instatement on Lime Walk / Old Road will be done with Stop / Go traffic management for half a day on 3 May
  • Latimer Road / All Saints will re-instated on 2 May with no road closure
  • London Road / Latimer / Sandfield Road re-instatement will be done as part of the current junction closures

Vital Energi apologises for any further inconvenience that this might cause and assures you that they will do everything they can to minimise the disruption.

There will be 24-hour security based at the Churchill Hospital and, in an emergency, they can be reached on 0800 6124 039. Access to Barrington Close will be kept open and traffic from/to Lime Walk / All Saints will be diverted 'around the block'.

Once again, Vital Energi thanks you for you for your co-operation and understanding.
