We run regular social events and activities both in and out of hospital.

These range from pampering evenings and craft sessions to trips to the theatre, bowling, theme parks, meals out and more!

We are also involved in annual events such as the 'Find Your Sense of Tumour' conference, Ellen MacArthur Sailing Trips and the Teenage Cancer Trust Royal Albert Hall Concerts.

If you have any ideas for future events, or want to be added to our distribution list to keep in the loop with things that are going on, please do get in contact with Ruth East.

Events 2019

All TYA events are completely free to young people who have received support from the TYA service whilst having/had treatment.

Patient Panel and Junkyard Golf

Saturday 11 May 2019 11.00am - 1.00pm
Oxford Playhouse

Followed by Junkyard Golf and lunch at the Westgate Centre 1.00pm - 3.30/4.00pm.

TYA Patient Panel is your opportunity to shape the services we offer, and share ideas for events, resources and ways to support all young people and young adults within our service area.

We will meet at Oxford Playhouse, followed by food and fun at the Westgate.

It would be great to see you there, but we do have Skype facilities so please contact Ruth for more details.

Look Good, Feel Better - Make-up and Wellbeing Workshop.

Wednesday 17 April 2019 1.30pm - 5.30pm
MAC Studio, Debenhams, Magdalen Street, Oxford OX1 3AA

Being a young person can be hard enough, without having to deal with cancer treatment and its side effects.

Working in collaboration with the Teenage Cancer Trust and CLIC Sargent, these fun sessions teach you new skills and techniques to look and feel fantastic. A day of feeling pampered and glamorous!

Find Your Sense of Tumour (Under 18s) Weekend Away

28-30 June 2019
Whitemoor Lakes, Lichfield

A weekend away for young people who've had cancer (six months off treatment by 28 June or on maintenance). Share experiences and ask our expert panel questions. Workshops and activities plus plenty of time to chill out and unwind.

"It was really amazing being able to share experiences together and speak with other young people without having to explain what it was like to have cancer or to have undergone rounds of chemotherapy.

Expect to laugh a lot, learn a lot and make friends for life!"
