Flu can be a serious and life-threatening illness.

With flu cases increasing rapidly nationwide, and the worst of winter only weeks away, the NHS is calling on all people who are eligible - especially if at risk due to an existing condition - to get vaccinated against flu

According to national figures, flu cases in England have tripled compared with this time last year. Millions of vaccine slots are now available nationwide.

Flu vaccines are available to all eligible adults and children including:

  • adults under 65 and children in a clinical-risk group
  • people aged 65 and over
  • pregnant women
  • residents and staff in care homes
  • carers and close contacts of people who are immunosuppressed.

If you are eligible, book your appointment for your flu jab today.

There is more detailed information about eligibility on the NHS website:

You can book an appointment via your GP surgery, local Pharmacy, the NHS App or online.

Additional slots are now available at other locations such as mobile clinics, shopping malls and community centres.

Local walk-in clinics and bookable appointments are available here:

Vaccine clinics - Stay Well

Encourage your friends, neighbours and family members who are eligible to do the same - especially if they are at higher risk.

Being vaccinated now gives you the best chance of staying well - and high vaccine uptake not only protects you, but reduces pressure on hospitals and health services at critical times.
