The Musculoskeletal/Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meets every Monday at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre to discuss the care pathways for suspected and confirmed bone and soft tissue cancers. The MDT receives referrals from Thames Valley and the South West of England.
The MDT comprises surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, specialist nurses and allied health professionals from the Oxford University Hospitals.
The team are able to ensure the patients have the appropriate diagnostic tests and then have a seamless pathway of care if sarcoma is diagnosed.
