Oxford University Hospitals is working in collaboration with the University of Oxford to produce high-impact research and practice-changing results.
This collaboration is largely facilitated by the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute, a comprehensive research centre whose focus is on aspects of radiobiology that could yield new advances in radiation therapy.
The partnership between the University and NHS has resulted in the introduction of chemo-radiotherapy clinical trials led by the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute, as well as increased learning and development opportunities for the radiotherapy department.
In addition to OUH presentations, radiotherapy staff are invited to attend radiobiology and radiotherapy research seminars at the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute and are given access to the Knowledge Centre (located in the Old Road Campus Research Building) and other University of Oxford Library Services.
