Working for us

We are always keen to hear from healthcare scientists, engineers and technologists seeking to develop their careers.

Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering serves one of the UK's largest teaching trusts and is spread across both the Churchill Hospital and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Oxford is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with excellent road, rail and coach transport links to London and elsewhere in the UK.

Work experience

We offer a work experience programme for university students and graduates who are interested in a career in Medical Physics or Clinical Engineering.

This programme is only open to those with or in the process of obtaining a relevant degree.

Placements consist of two days of shadowing work and take place in late July or August. We are only able to support a limited number of students each year.

The deadline for applications is 1 April. We will let you know the outcome of your application no later than 1 May.

We prioritise applications from those who live or study near Oxford (within 50 miles). Placements are unpaid.

Applications are now closed for 2024.
