Staff choirs
For OUH staff who like to sing (or who would like to have a go) we have two staff choirs.
Both choirs are focused on the enjoyment of singing and welcome new singers. No experience is necessary, we have no auditions and there is no need to read music - just a willingness to come and have fun.
One Voice Choir
The One Voice Choir, which meets in OxHEC at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, is run by Philip Read.

Radcliffe Orchestra
The Radcliffe Orchestra has been putting on concerts for medically related charities for over 45 years and is always looking for new players.
The orchestra consists of healthcare workers (plus friends and family) from across the hospitals in Oxfordshire.
It is supported by Oxford Hospitals Charity.
Orchestra concerts
We have a rotation of three or four conductors, and major works have included:
Holst's Planets
Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade
Beethoven's Eroica and Pastoral symphonies
Carmina Burana
Mahler's 4th symphony
Brahms 2nd symphony
Tchaikovsky's 4th symphony
concertos by Tchaikovsky, Nielsen, Sibelius, Chopin and Mozart.
Holst's Planets involved an orchestra of over 70 players.
Join the Radcliffe Orchestra
We would love to hear from instrumentalists keen to join our flourishing orchestra, particularly violins, clarinet and trombone players.
The standard is Grade 8+, or having had significant orchestral playing experience.
We do three concerts a year with six or seven weekly rehearsals beforehand at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
There are no auditions and the orchestra has a reputation for coaxing 'lapsed' instrumentalists back to playing again.
Above all we have fun.
