Future Fertility Programme Oxford (FFPO) is part of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and works in collaboration with the University of Oxford Nuffield Department of Women's and Reproductive Health.

Ovarian and testicular tissue, which is intended for transplantation (human application), must be cryopreserved in a tissue bank which holds a Human Tissue Authority (HTA) Human Application (HA) Sector licence.

The FFPO tissue cryopreservation service operates under the Oxford Cell and Tissue Biobank (OCTB), HTA license number 11106.

Ovarian and testicular tissue can be procured either in Oxford or under an OCTB third party agreement at another hospital, local to the patient. All tissue is cryopreserved at OCTB, Oxford.

Fertility risk

As part of standard care, fertility risks and fertility preservation treatment options should be discussed at the time of initial diagnosis, at times of change of treatment plan and in the after care setting.
