When you come to Oxford Children's Hospital we may ask you, your child, or family members if they would like to participate in a research study.
Our vision is to offer every patient the chance to participate, because we know research improves outcomes.
"Research with infants, children and young people is essential to improve our understanding of childhood diseases and provide healthcare based on the best possible evidence." (RCPCH, 2016)
The choice to take part in research is entirely yours; if you prefer not to take part it will not affect the care you receive.
We aim to open new research studies across every specialty within Children's Services.
If there is something you would like your / your child's consultant to consider, please approach them with information and our contact details.
