Joint Research Office (JRO) Good Clinical Practice Statement

This statement sets out the agreed position across all Oxford JRO organisations on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and is available on the OUH intranet.

GCP is the agreed international standard for the conduct of clinical trials. All Clinical Trial Investigational Medicinal Product (CTIMP) studies must comply with GCP guidelines by law.

Research Champions

Help research become part of everyday clinical care.

We are looking for:

  • registered nurses

  • midwives

  • allied health professionals

  • clinical psychologists

  • healthcare scientists

  • pharmacists

to become Research Champions to help make research more visible, accessible and inclusive across all clinical areas.

Research Champions act as a link between clinical teams, research delivery staff and Divisional research leads, to raise awareness of research opportunities and support staff and patients engage with research.

As a Research Champion, you will help to:

  • share information about research studies and opportunities

  • support colleagues to understand how research can improve patient care

  • signpost patients to studies they may be eligible for

  • promote evidence-based practice within your clinical area

  • contribute to building a positive research culture.

This is a great opportunity to develop your research knowledge, build confidence in evidence-based practice, expand your networks and contribute to improving patient care through research.

Support and guidance is available, and no previous research experience is required.
