The Prosthetic Nurse provides expert advice to patients referred into the Prosthetic Service.
These include wound care, managing skin conditions and providing support in accessing information about long-term acute health problems including diabetes and vascular insufficiency.
They are also responsible for new patients attending the service with regard to:
Any Prosthetic Service patient is welcome to telephone the department to speak to the nurse for advice.
The Prosthetic Nurse can also review patients when they attend for appointments with other members of the team.
