Our team members have undertaken fellowships and specialist training in leading centres across the UK and internationally. We are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based orthopaedic care for children.
We work closely with clinicians in hospitals and community settings across the region. The Oxford Paediatric Orthopaedic Service has service-level agreements with many hospitals throughout Oxfordshire and the surrounding area, and runs outreach clinics in a number of district general hospitals and community locations. These partnerships enable us to support local colleagues and help ensure that children and families have access to excellent care across the region.
We have extensive long-term experience in the treatment of complex disorders including:
cerebral palsy
developmental dysplasia of the hip
hip preservation
club feet
bone infections and limb deformities, including the sequale of paediatric trauma
pathologies of the hips, knees feet and ankles
pathologies of the upper limb
bone and soft tissue tumours (sarcomas).
We work closely with other clinicians caring for children in other hospitals and the community.
We have an active teaching and research programme.
