Written referrals can be made by GPs or community AHPs direct to the service:

Patients may also be triaged to us via the MSK Hub.

OUH consultants and AHPs: the internal referral form can be found on the Orthotics Service pages of the OUH intranet site.

Existing patients who have been seen in the past five years can self-refer back to the orthotics service via telephone.

If a patient has not been seen in the past five years then they will need a new referral from their GP.

The following conditions may not be suitable for orthotic treatment:

• curly toes
• assymptomatic flexible flatfeet
• intoeing.
