Kamran's Day Care

Monday to Friday 8.00am - 8.00pm

During the day, patients can attend Kamran's Day Care. Care is delivered by ward doctors, consultants and specialist nurses.

We can provide urgent reviews and supportive care, including:

• phlebotomy
• planned or urgent transfusions
• ECP for patients with major haemoglobinopathies
• chemotherapy for patients with malignant disease.

24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We care for our inpatients on Kamran's Ward, a nine-bed ward in the Children's Hospital.

We have four haematology consultants, one of whom is always available for specialist advice. We also have a service-specific dietitian, psychologist and physiotherapist.

Other allied health professionals and support teams include pharmacy, phlebotomy, social work and occupational therapy.

There is an on-call consultant out of hours and a paediatric haematologist is always available.
