Teaching and training

Oxford University Hospitals is a major UK teaching hospital with a fundamental policy of excellence through a programme of on-going education and vocational training. This commitment to our service through personal improvement has endowed our staff with the skills to provide patients with a consistently high quality of service and care. The Clinical Immunology Laboratory has a demonstrated an enduring commitment to this programme thorugh our active involvement in teaching clinical/biomedical scientists/medical students to Master's degree level and to higher clinical qualification with the Royal college of Pathologists.

Training is a constant component of clinical and laboratory activity. Clinical Laboratory Immunology is also significantly engaged with Modernising Scientific Careers and this includes collaborative working with assistant and associate practitioners and scientific practitioners on work place learning programmes and undergraduate degrees within the OUH and surrounding hospitals and Universities. This education and training programme forms an important part of the work of the Oxford Academic Health science Centre and Oxford Academic Health Science Network.
